Askonas Holt is delighted to announce the worldwide management of British-Australian soprano Samantha Clarke. Currently a member of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama Opera School, Samantha will take part in the prestigious Kathleen Ferrier Competition semi-final later in April and the Guildhall Gold Medal in May. Notable engagements have included Helena A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Fiordiligi Cosi fan tutte for which she received critical acclaim.
Samantha completed an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma and Intensive Masters of Music at the Royal Northern College of Music, as a Sir John Fisher Foundation and Independent Opera Scholar, under the tutelage of Mary Plazas. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Leverhulme Royal Northern College of Music Award, the Dame Eva Turner Award, and the 2017 RNCM Gold Medal.
Looking ahead, Samantha will play the title role in the world premiere of Georgiana at the Buxton International Festival this summer, and Musetta in La bohème at Opera North next season.
