Monday 7 October 2013 marked the release of "Around the World" Emmanuel Pahud's latest collaboration with guitarist Christian Rivet, his long time recital partner and composer.
With a repertoire that takes in the music of four continents and spans three hundred years, this recording is sure to appeal to those people who have been lucky enough to enjoy the unique performances of this remarkable duo and their fluency in diverse musical idioms.
Alongside his commitments as Principal Flautist of the Berlin Philharmonic, this Autumn Emmanuel will make a European tour with his dynamic musical collective Les Vents Francais. Furthermore, Christian and Emmanuel will be performing in a number of venues culminating at the Wigmore Hall on the 22 December 2013, featuring several of the pieces taken from this album.
