Louis Langrée was presented with an honour during a special ceremony last week after appearing with Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra at the Lincoln Centre as part of the Great Performers Series. The concert was a huge success and received a fantastic review in the
New York Times. The medal marks Louis as a knight of the French Legion of Honour, or Chevalier dans l’Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur, which is the most famous, and highest of France’s official decorations. “It’s good to receive it here in this artistic hive. It’s important because I am with all my families” said Louis, referring to his colleagues at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Mostly Mozart Festival.
Congratulations Louis!
