Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra & Gustavo Dudamel

The Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra embarks on a three-week tour of Europe in January 2025 under the baton of Music Director Gustavo Dudamel.
The tour includes two residencies; the first in Paris to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Philharmonie (the orchestra’s first return since their opening weekend performance there in 2015); the second, in London featuring two concerts and a programme of outreach activities. The orchestra will then perform in Luxembourg, Berlin, Munich, Brussels and Madrid.
Gustavo and the orchestra will bring their trademark mix of powerful masterworks alongside colourful contemporary music from Venezuelan composers Riccardo Lorenz and Gonzalo Grau. They are joined along the way by Yuja Wang for Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1, and Latin Grammy-winner Jorge Glem for Grau’s Odisea concerto for Venezuelan cuatro. For performances of Mahler’s Symphony No.3, the orchestra join forces with soloist Marianne Cebassa as well as forming collaborations with renowned local choirs in each city.
