IrakliPkhaladze

Irakli Pkhaladze is a Georgian bass-baritone. For the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 seasons he is a member of the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, where his forthcoming roles include Count Ceprano Rigoletto, Second Philistine Samson et Dalia, Prince Yamadori Madama Butterfly, Jailer Tosca, Liberto/Lucano L’incoronazione di Poppea, Kilian Der Freischütz für Kinder, Nazarene Salome, Dr Falke Die Fledermaus für Kinder and Lakai Ariadne auf Naxos.

This season he will also make his debut with the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia as the bass soloist in Beethoven Christus am Ölberg conducted by Manfred Honeck.

He began his vocal studies at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, where he also made his operatic debut as Colline La bohème at the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 2023, he joined the Young Artist Program at the Teatro Comunale di Modena (Teatro Pavarotti-Freni), receiving guidance from renowned mentors such as Ernesto Palacio, Michele Pertusi, Barbara Frittoli, and Mariella Devia.

He then became a member of the Centre de Perfeccionament at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia, where over two seasons he performed a wide range of roles, including Narumov The Queen of Spades, Talbot Maria Stuarda, Dulcamara L’elisir d’amore, Samuel Un ballo in maschera, Sprecher Die Zauberflöte, Un Garde Manon, Officier Dialogues des Carmélites and Sir Gualtiero Raleigh Roberto Devereux.

In 2024, Irakli took part in the Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda” at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, performing the role of Lord Sidney Il viaggio a Reims where he received critical acclaim.
