About Cédric

The 2023/24 seasons sees Cédric Tiberghien return to the London Philharmonic Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony and Orchestre National de Lyon, and debut with the Atlanta Symphony. The previous season saw returns to the Berliner Philharmoniker, Orchestre National de France, Washington’s National Symphony, Sydney Symphony and City of Birmingham Symphony with regular conductor collaborators Karina Canellakis, Cristian Măcelaru and Simone Young.

Cédric’s long association with the Wigmore Hall continues this season with the fifth instalment of his Beethoven Variations project, juxtaposing his works by other composers to illustrate the evolution of the genre. The project concludes in 2024/25 with a new commission by Lisa Illean paired with the Diabelli Variations. Elsewhere, Cédric will perform at Berlin’s Pierre Boulez Saal, St George’s Bristol, Flagey in Brussels and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra’s Hitzacher Festival, ahead of recital tours of the US, Japan and Australia – the latter for his John Cage project – the following season.

Cédric’s discography includes Ravel’s Piano Concertos with François-Xavier Roth and Les Siècles which was shortlisted for a 2023 Gramophone Award. In recent seasons he has performed concertos with Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, The Cleveland Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Orchestre Philarmonique de Strasbourg, London Symphony and NDR Elbphilharmonie orchestras. A former BBC New Generation Artist, Cédric’s regular chamber music partners include violinist Alina Ibragimova, violist Antoine Tamestit and baritone Stéphane Degout.

Cédric is based in Nimes
