About John

With an international career spanning major opera houses, Swiss-American conductor John Fiore is praised for his musicality, experience, and skillful expression on the podium. He has been Music Director of several leading opera companies including the Norwegian Opera and Deutsche Oper-am-Rhein, as well as of Düsseldorfer Symphoniker. He is a frequent guest conductor at many of the foremost opera houses in Europe and the United States, with which he enjoys enduring relationships.

In the 2025/26 season, John will return to the Royal Swedish Opera with a new production of Der Ferne Klang, to the Deutsche Oper Berlin with a new production of Fedora, and to Santa Fe with a new production of Madama Butterfly. He will also conduct Tosca at the Semperoper Dresden and Aida at the Staatsoper Berlin.

John is based in Switzerland
