About Regina
Hungarian soprano Regina Koncz has recently graduated from the opera studio of Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin, where she has sung Königin der Nacht and Papagena in Die Zauberflöte, Jano in Jenufa, First Nymph in Rusalka, Amore/Valletto in L'incoronazione di Poppea, First Lady of Dirce in Medea, Tebaldo in Don Carlo, Contessa Ceprano in Rigoletto, Young Shepherd in Tannhäuser and the title roles in Schneewittchen and in Der Rose Pilgerfahrt, as well as her role debut as Zerlina in Don Giovanni, amongst other roles. This season she will be giving her house debut at Staatsoper Stuttgart and returning as a guest to the Staatsoper Berlin to sing Königin in the old Everding production as well as Barbarina in Nozze di Figaro. Regina will make her house debuts at Oper Leipzig and and will return to the Staatsoper for Olympia Tales of Hoffmann, Flora in The Turn of the Screw and Königin Die Zauberflöte.
On the concert platform she will appear at the Ballhaus am Schloss Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel and at Kloster Haydau, in Morschen, Germany. She will also sing the Mozart Requiem with the Junges Ensemble Berlin in the Kammermusiksaal of Philharmonie Berlin.
Despite being in the early stages of her career, Regina has already collaborated with conductors such as Marc Minkowski, Robin Ticciati, Joana Mallwitz, Christophe Rousset, Kristina Poska, Oksana Lyniv, Daniele Rustioni and Sebastian Weigle. She has worked with directors such as Vincent Huguet, Sasha Waltz and Kornél Mundruczó.
Regina began her vocal studies at the University of Szeged and later at the Mozarteum Salzburg from which she graduated in 2022. In Salzburg, she most notably sang Eurydice and Königin der Nacht, as well as other new commissions. She continues to study with KS Brigitte Eisenfeld.

Zum einen die hier als Spinne portraitierte Königin der Nacht, von Regina Koncz aus dem Opernstudio der Staatsoper Berlin mit glanzreichem, lyrisch durchschlagskräftigem Sopran und blitzsauber sitzenden Koloraturen und Spitzentönen präsentiert, Alongside him, the strengths of the performance lay above all in the two counterparts representing different views of the world. On the one hand, the Queen of the Night, portrayed here as a spider, was presented by Regina Koncz from the Staatsoper Berlin's opera studio with a glamorous, lyrically powerful soprano voice and spot-on colouratura and top notes.
