[Translated] Vocally, the meticulous attention paid to the casting of the supporting roles is particularly noteworthy. Li Huanhong 's excellent Cesare Angelotti stands out , his deep, assured voice lending this character far more than a mere secondary function.

[Translated] Li Huanhong gives Angelotti a broad and perfectly controlled vocal foundation. The roundness of the timbre and the depth of the breath give the character a serene gravity that contrasts with the silent violence of the world around him.

Gala Lirico
[Translated] Joining Pratt on stage during the evening was Li Huanhong, a young Chinese bass trained at the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala, who possesses a rich, resonant voice – particularly in the mid-to-high register – and is capable of incisive phrasing, as demonstrated in his performances as Oroveso. His rendition of ‘Vi ravviso, o luoghi ameni’ from *La Sonnambula* was more nuanced and mellow, whilst ‘Cinta di fiori’ from *I Puritani* was imbued with noble elegance. Finally, the grand scene from Verdi’s *Attila*, performed as an encore, was convincing, although the cabaletta lacked a little bite – partly due to the conducting.
