In the 2024/25 season, Huanhong returns regularly to Teatro alla Scala after graduating from the Accademia alla Scala. He sings Alcade in the season-opening production of La Forza del Destino under Maestro Riccardo Chailly, as well as singing the Captain in Eugene Onegin. He debuts the role of Angelotti in Tosca and covers the role of Oroveso in Norma, both also at his operatic home of La Scala.

The Chinese bass is the first prize winner at the 2024 Leyla Gencer Competition in Istanbul, where he also won the Deutsche Oper Berlin Special Award and the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra Special Award. In previous seasons, Huanhong has sung at Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro sociale di Stradella, Teatro Dante Alighieri, Le Grand Théâtre de Tours, Guangzhou Opera House, as well as concert appearance with the Verdi Requiem with the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He has appeared regularly at La Scala in recent seasons, a highlight being singing the roles of the Monk and Flemish Deupty in the season-opening Don Carlo.
